The SRG/ILS Group is excited to congratulate Mike Phillips on the nomination of his album Pulling Off The Covers for Outstanding Jazz Album – Vocal at the 52nd NAACP Image Awards. The awards will air live on BET on Saturday March 27th.
Pulling Off The Covers is a unique collection of songs that have inspired Mike Phillips throughout his career. The album features collaborations with many of his friends including Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight, PJ Morton, and Trombone Shorty.
Besides his critically acclaimed albums you might know Mike from his many tours with Prince, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson not only as a member of the band, but as a featured soloist. You also might know Mike from his stirring performances of the National Anthem at NFL, NBA, and hundreds of other sporting events around the United States.
