Mike Phillips was honored to be asked to perform the National Anthem after the 76ers touching tribute to Kobe Bryant on Tuesday night in Philadelphia. Mike held the penultimate note from the Anthem for 24 seconds as an extra tribute to his friend.

His performance with the 24-second hold adding a completely different element to the ceremony. I can honestly say I do not think there was a dry eye in the building after his beautiful rendition of the national anthem. Please thank him for everything. While the circumstances were not the best, it could not have been more beautiful.
