via Billboard: Brian McKnight’s Facebook Live tribute to the late James Ingram earns him the No. 1 spot in Billboard’s Top Facebook Live Videos chart for January 2019.
The chart, the latest of which recaps January 2019 activity, is a monthly look at the widest-reaching and most-reacted-to videos posted by musicians on Facebook Live, as tracked by media analytics company Shareablee. Rankings are determined by a formula that blends reactions, comments, shares and first-seven-days views.
McKnight rules the list for the first time thanks to a Jan. 29 clip in which he honored Ingram, who died that day at age 66. In tribute, the fellow R&B singer performed multiple Ingram songs on the livestream.
In the four chart metrics, McKnight’s video was tops in reactions (24,000), shares (18,000) and first-seven-days views (959,000) among all musicians in January, according to Shareablee.
The only metric McKnight’s clip didn’t lead was comments, which was paced by Thalia, who came in at No. 2. The Mexican singer’s video, which was shot with fellow star Lali, showed the pair celebrating 3 million views of their video for “Lindo Pero Bruto” on YouTube.
In addition to its chart-leading 14,000 comments, the video also racked up 368,000 views in its first seven days.
